Following are steps on how to install .NET Framework on Windows 2008 Server
1. Open 'Server Manager'
2. Select 'Features'
3. Right click on Features
4. Select 'Add Features'
5. Select '.NET Framework 3.0 Features'
6. Follow the prompt (Select Next)
7. Once installed select 'Close'
Now you machine is ready with .NET Framework 3.0
